The club held its annual draw on Friday last in The Cross Keys, Kildangan.
The club would like to thank the ticket buyers and sellers, our sponsors and John in the Keys for allowing us the use of this premises for the evening.

On Saturday morning Kildangan u/8s and u/10s made the journeys down to a rural club near Nenagh in Tippereary also called Kildangan to play two underage matches against the local team. The u/8s were first into the action in their new Kildangan jerseys and roared on by a large travelling contingent took the game to the hosts from the word go. Playing some great combination football the Kildare men ran out winners by 8-3 to 7-0. Outstanding on the day were Luke Barry, Eoin Hyland, Caoimhe O Fearghail, Ryan Moran, Callum Bolger, Robert Hanley, Josh Francis and Lauren Kelly.
The u/10s came up against a very strong home team in the second game. Playing with wind in the first half the Tipp men opened up an early lead. The Kildare team improved well after the break and showed a lot of spirit and make a real game of it against much bigger opponents. Those to play well were Dermot Hickey, Eddie Bond, Michael Howard, James Stynes, Conor Hyland. Grace Nealon.
The club would like to thank our hosts in Tippereary for the warm welcome we received. The day was rounded of perfectly with a stop at McDonalds in Roscrea on the way home.

Under 10's put in one of their best performances of the year in a top of the table league game at home to Castlemitchell on Thursday last. Kildangan held a slim lead at half time following some great point scoring from the Hyland brothers and Robert Hanley and a well taken goal from Ryan Moran.
In a very exciting second half both teams hit some great scores but Castlemitchell got the goals and won on a scoreline of 4.3 to 1.10.
In a great team performance Kildangans best were Daniel Howard, Conor Hyland, Emily McGarry and the Under 8 forward quartet of Eoin Hyland, Josh Francis, Robert Hanley & Ryan Moran.
The Under 8s traveled to Nurney for a Go-Games Blitz on Saturday. They continued their excellent unbeaten run in this competition with Team 1 winning and Team 2 earning a draw.
Team 1 won well with Una Higgins, Robert Hanley, Ryan Moran and Shauna Bond the stars of the first half while Lauren Kelly, Robert McGrath, Daniel Cawley and Charlotte Scully showed good form in the later stages.
Team 2 showed great spirit in earning a draw with good performers in Eoin Hyland, Mark Dunne, Josh Francis, Sinead McKernan, Luke Barry, Laura McGrath, Callum Bolger and Stephen Keogh.

Kildangan GAA are holding a Field Day on Sunday 10 Sept 2006 from 2.30pm in the local pitch. A funfilled day is planned for all ages with Tug O War, Long Kick, Ball in the Barrell, Wheel of Fortune, Cake Sale, Face Painting etc along with our own underage blitz.Entry is free and a great day is promised so bring along the family.
Plans for the Kildangan GAA Golf Classic on Fri 13th Oct in Athy Golf Club are at an advanced stage with places for teams filling up fast. Entry fee per team of 4 is E200. Tee sponsorship spaces are available at €50 per tee. Contact John on 086 2430522 or any committee member.
Kildangan U/10s had a good away win in greasy conditions in Barrowhouse on wed last despite being short a number of regulars. Kildangan were a point down at half time but put in a storming second half led by James Stynes and Robert Hanley to win on a score of 2-5 to 2-3. Others to impress were Chantelle Carroll, Andy Heffernan, Josh Francis and David Foxe.
